Who are you?
I’m neither a fascinating person nor a compelling writer, but I do enjoy watching myself type, which is probably the main reason I blog in the first place.

- My name is Natalie.
- I am 24 years old.
- I live in Houston.
- I started this blog as a Xanga page in January of 2003, then moved to my own domain in September 2005.
- I like it much better here.
- In the fall I will start law school at the UH Law Center.
- I’m pretty freaking excited about that.
- I plan to focus on intellectual property law.
- I graduated in May 2008 from the University of Houston, majoring in Math and Physics, with a Latin minor.
- Between 2002 and 2004 I went to school at a hardcore little place out in SoCal called Harvey Mudd College, where I was a Math/Astrophysics double major. I spent most of my time there stressing over the workload, despite the fact that I did very little actual work.
- I am a huge nerd.
- But neither a dork nor a geek.
- If I could play Quiz Bowl seven days a week, I would.
- I have one brother, three years younger and a foot taller than I am.
- I’m good at math, especially probability and statistics.
- I’m pretty good at physics.
- I have a knack for languages, though so far I haven’t put in the time and effort to learn a second spoken language well.
- Someday I will be a teacher. I don’t know when, or how, or at what level. I would like to do something else, retire, and then teach.
- I teach LSAT classes part-time for a test-prep company.
- I’m learning Japanese taiko drumming. Funnest hobby ever.
- I’m also learning to sew.
- I have a boyfriend.
- His name is John.
- We’ve been dating since March 2007.
- I live with a scruffy little terrier mix, my first dog ever.

- I am half Dutch. I don’t speak the language nearly as well as I’d like to.
