Why does the fire alarm beeps when it gets cold
If you think that title sounds familiar, you’re probably recalling “What if the fire alarm beeps infrequently” from last January, in which I listed some of the more amusing search terms that led people to this site.
On a whim I’ve pulled up the stats again only to be sorely disappointed. The recent search phrases are nowhere near as interesting as those of a year ago. The vast majority of the multi-word searches, in fact, revolve around the same topic:
get rid of smell of fish in fridge
i cooked fish and now my house smells like fish how do i get rid of the smell?
pork smell fish
how do i get rid of fish smell in my kitchen
rid house of cooked fish smell
cooked fish and kitchen smells
get rid of fish smell in house
how to get the smell of fish out of the house after cooking
Not to mention the near miss, “all my clothes smell like beans how do i get rid of it.” These folks undoubtedly end up at this post, which provides sympathy but no solution.
Apart from that, there weren’t any real ringers. Several people wanted to know about GRE percentiles, a few wanted to know what “prepoceros” means, some wanted info on the Nutcracker Market, and one sought a “laundry hamper for beach themed room.”
As they did last year, people still came looking for a synonym for “eager to please,” and I still don’t have one.
That’s it, really. Everyone else was searching for boring things like “january,” “computers internet blog” (as opposed to other kinds of blogs), “overeducated,” “words,” and “camelsheeps.” What have I done to drive the crazies away? I do not understand.
