Prepoceros

[Note: This was meant to be my NaBloPoMo kickoff post, but it was only half-done when I got sick.]

I may be the slowest meme-follower* in the history of the interwebs. Jim tagged me weeks and weeks months ago, and this particular meme is the better part of a year old, I think, but I figured the first day of NaBloPoMo was as good a time as any to finally get around to posting my list. There’s no particular significance to these items, except that you probably don’t know them yet.

1. When I take a shower, I get water in my ear about one time in ten. It is always my left ear.
2. I have 14 cousins on my mother’s side and none on my father’s. So does John.
3. My favorite ice cream flavor is Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia.
4. My brother got his picture in the paper in his first week of life because my mom’s obstetrician pioneered a technique that allowed women who had had Caesarean sections to deliver their next babies normally. My picture was not in the paper. I was jealous.
5. I think goat cheese is one of the tastiest things anybody’s ever thrown on a salad.
6. When I was little, my bedroom window (and the top of our swingset) looked out onto a semi-busy road. I liked to tally the cars that went by in my diary according to color. There were very few orange or purple cars, I found, and I had to add categories for dumb non-colors like gold.
7. I have 34 pairs of underwear, which is how I get by doing laundry once a month.
8. All the cars at my family’s house have names based on their make or model: Tima, KeeKee, JigJag, and Sexy Rexy are a Nissan Altima, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Jaguar S-Type, and a Mazda RX-8. I don’t know what my brother’s truck’s name is, though. For now I’ll call it Huge-Ass.

And there you have it. Deep and enlightening, eh?

This is the part where I’m supposed to tag some number of people to keep the meme moving, but I’m such a slacker when it comes to commenting that I can’t come up with four people who read my blog AND blog regularly themselves.
