What? Why? You wanna see how much damage I can do with that bloody thing?! I have a better idea…I call a plumber/carpenter/electrician…OK, OK, I’ll call Al! - “Wanna dance?” Hmmm…actually, I’m really turned on a lot more when it’s your idea. I long to hear those eight little words…”I want sex! And, I want it now!” - “You’re 100 percent correct” I bet you couldn’t say that with a straight face. As you’ve probably figured out by now, after nine years of being married to me, I’m not this pathetic and delusional, seriously, I’m not. - “What a manly sweater!” Sure, you can say that, if you want to see me pee-myself-laughing. The greatest compliment you can pay me is to be there when I need you, because you want to, not because you feel you have to. Oh, and the occasional spontaneous cup of tea is good too. ;-) After reading this article at CNN.com, and after I had stopped laughing I sent the following email to my wife of nine years (and mother of our 5 year old son):

I was both alarmed and dismayed when reading this "article". Insulting to men, women, AND any other intelligent life in the universe, including my cats. Appalling. Of course, my boyfriend and I take turns cooking and we are both handy with power tools, so perhaps that's what facilitates communication. omigod, I couldn’t agree more. Seeing as how I've developed beyond the level of intelligence of a neanderthal, the advice given is, quite simply, insulting. Women today play enough games as it is, and what we need is less manipulation on both men's and women's parts and start being honest with each other. To think that the article was sponsored by both Oprah and CNN blows my mind. I’m so glad you wrote this response to the article featured on CNN.
