Tidbits
I think my phone knows it’s about to be retired. As soon as I logged on to the T-Mobile site to scope out my options, before I gave it my information or bought anything, my wee phone decided it didn’t feel like calling people any more. Four bars, full battery. Oh, it would assure me that it was calling the numbers I dialed in, but there was only silence. You’ve had a good run, little phone, but your battery, it is less potent it used to be. Hey, at least I didn’t bash your screen in with my ass-bone.
I don’t trust bathroom doors with push-button locks. Every Starbucks has them.
You know those college license plates people get? They all have the same pattern of numbers and letters, like BH34LS, and I’ve often wondered why. At first I thought the letters were pairs of initials, like maybe we’re a couple who went to the same school. The numbers might have represented a graduation year, but they’re too evenly distributed, with as many 27’s as 98’s, for that to be plausible. Now I’m working under the hypothesis that they’re randomly assigned, but that the set of numbers with that pattern is reserved for the college-plate-maker people, so they don’t step on the toes of the state-plate-maker folks. Anybody know the real explanation?
I managed to work YouTube into my sociology paper about anomie in modern American society. My loathing for this class has abated somewhat. Somewhat.
