ah yes- and thus the magic that is gerrymandering :-); the Supreme Court heard a case about Texas' fucked up distric line drawing, during which Ruth Bader Ginsberg took a 15 minute siesta on the bench.

See, this is what allows representatives to choose their voters, instead of vice versa (which, if i recall correctly, is the way it's supposed to work).

i dont understand - I wonder if the same guy that thinks Colbert supports DeLay is the same Bush staffer who thought Colbert supported Bush. I take it you've seen the clip of Colbert at the White House Correspondents' Dinner? Balsy on his part, some staffer got fired, and Bush was f'in pissed.

Oh, okay. The other office I saw must've been the one in Stafford.

I checked out the map linked from that site, and wouldn't you know, he's my representative! Technically he isn't, since I'm still registered in the district where my parents live, but Pearland is in his district.

And I have to say, those *are* some weirdly drawn borders. Let's make a district comprised of Rosenberg . . . and Deer Park . . . and half of Texas City! And very few places in between!

Reps usually have multiple offices in their constituencies, since they are fairly large. Delay has two offices, one in Stafford and one in Webster.
